Leeds Queer Wrestling - Masterclass

  • CLAY 1, 2 Regent St, Leeds LS2 7QA United Kingdom (map)

Leeds Queer Wrestling is running a wrestling masterclass to celebrate the true meaning of pride - throwing bricks at cops and body-slamming your friends. This session is for complete beginners to explore the performance side of wrestling. Leeds Queer Wrestling is Trans run, ability friendly and we focus more on building community than athletic performance.

GET BUFF, MAKE NEW FRIENDS, FORM RIVALRIES, GET SWEATY WITH FELLOW QUEERS, RUB YOUR BODIES TOGETHER, GET PUT IN A HEADLOCK, LEARN HOW TO DO SICK FORWARD ROLLS, DEVELOP A SEXY NEW LARGER THAN LIFE PERSONA, SELL SOME PAIN WITH ACTING, DO SOME TAKEDOWNS, LOOK GOOD IN DENIM CUT-OFFS AND KNEEPADS, KICK SOME BUTT, SLAP SOME FACES.

Each attendee will be provided with £25 per diem. This will be paid in cash on the day.

This event is supported with funding from Leeds Inspired, part of Leeds City Council.

  • This is event is wheelchair accessible. We have done what we can to make the space accessible by including a wheelchair friendly portaloo on the floor of the event space. We also have 2 gender-neutral toilets that are down a flight of stairs that is 12 steps. Unfortunately, there is no lift in our building. The rest of the building is on one floor. Unless stated this is a relaxed performance. If you need any more information please check our venue info page here.
