CHASM: Open Studios APRIL

  • CLAY 1, 2 Regent St, Leeds LS2 7QA United Kingdom (map)

This is an invitation to slither into the rupture to close the gap between us and share a Future.

Join us for an evening showcasing new work by Amy Lawrence, Ellie Harrison, Jo Hauge and Katayoun Jalilipour in our CHASM Open studios.

CHASM is a programme of  live artworks and performances searching for intimacy and connection. We are inviting you to slither into the rupture with us as a way to close the gap between and share the future together. CHASM Residency is an opportunity for 6 artists to develop 4 works which were originally made in 2020 for remote audiences, in a post pandemic context.

This first iteration CHASM was a series of live artworks and performances searching for intimacy in a time of social isolation that premiered online in October and November 2020 including works by Amy Lawrence, Ellie Harrison, Jo Hauge, Mystical Femmes and Nando Messias, Co-comissioned by CLAY and East Street Arts. This next version sees CLAY support some of those commission’s development, in a post pandemic context.

  • This is event is wheelchair accessible. We have done what we can to make the space accessible by including a wheelchair friendly portaloo on the floor of the event space. We also have 2 gender-neutral toilets that are down a flight of stairs that is 12 steps. Unfortunately, there is no lift in our building. The rest of the building is on one floor. Unless stated this is a relaxed performance. If you need any more information please check our venue info page here.
