We are currently looking for a Venue Coordinator to work closely with the Company Coordinator to support the venue upkeep and our hires activity. This will include both internal and external communications to ensure the venue is in good condition for all programmes and events. You will support the Company Coordinator in planning, preparing and managing events on site. This role is suitable for someone who is enthusiastic, pratical and willing to learn.

VENUE COORDINATOR
This role will support the Company Coordinator & Director in delivering activity and is largely site based. The role requires some flexible working hours, including some evening and weekend work to support shows and projects. Hours can be discussed in interviews. Must have a UK valid drivers licence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Venue
-
Oversee the CLAY venue, ensuring the space is fully equipped, well organised and fit-for-purpose;

Liaise with the cleaning provider to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained at all times

Responsible for annual fire drill and keeping fire safety records up to date

Keep fire safety regulations up to date and book annual maintenance, security and fire alarm services and arranging any repairs
Evet Management

Assist the CLAY team with project work e.g. in house programmes or commissioned events off site

Advertise & manage CLAY’s commercial hires

Event manage commercial hires
-
Drafting of risk assessments for events & hires
-
Upkeep of the bar, including stock counts and restocking
-
Engaging freelance workers for projects and events including cleaning, front of house and technical staff.
Company Development
-
Work with the leadership team on the development and implementation of income generation strategy and systems including maintaining the building for hires, events and the Studio community

Management & Advertisement of membership (including maintaining the community of studio members) and new approaches to ticketing;
