About the event

This workshop with engagement specialist and writer Sara (see bio below) will give tips and pointers about how to understand and use instagram in a sustainable way as an independent artist, not a company.

With a focus on

  • An introduction to the 'whys' and 'why nots' of instagram
  • Data, Tools and techniques
  • How to not let it takeover your life

We are also asking you to pose a question in the registration to help us make the information really useful!

Access: This is event is online and there will be a section in the registration to let us know about access requiremnt you may have.

Sara Sherwood is a freelance communications specialist and writer working in the arts sector.

She has worked as a Publicist at The Corner Shop PR, working on projects such as the Fierce Festival, Matilda the Musical, Aladdin and Hull, UK City of Culture 2017. She returned to Yorkshire in 2018 and was appointed Communications and Audience Development Manager for Creative Scene, one of Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places projects.

Sara went freelance in 2021, and now supports arts organisations and independent artists on their marketing and audience development. She also sit on the board of CLAY, a performance art venue in Leeds.

Sara is a writer, and most recently one of her short stories was featured in Best British Short Stories 2022. Sara also facilitates creative writing workshops and courses around Yorkshire.
