The Kids Are Alright

Created by Encounter, commissioned by The Place

This workshop is a creative opportunity for 9 - 11 year olds to explore how they think and feel about the state of the modern world. We will explore themes of changing communities, class and conflict and provide a stimulating and safe space for their voices, thoughts and ideas to be heard and documented.

After the workshop, children will be invited to take part in an audio adventure as part of a work in progress sharing of our new show. Friends and family are encouraged to attend the sharing.

This week we invite you to reflect on the past, consider the present and celebrate our hopes for the future.

There will be conversations and ideas, meals and parties, performances and installations.

There is something for everyone. Join us, join in, take part in everything or something. We can’t wait to meet you.
